Moya M1 Loudspeakers
Laurence Dickie and Vivid Audio Speakers
Laurence Dickie has been a tour de force in the speaker industry harking back to his days as the chief designer and man responsible for the beautiful B&W Nautilus speaker which has proved to be an iconic design which is still being built today, with this Laurence went on to design his speakers with the same ethos of nature inspired shapes to form the beautiful and creative Vivid Audio speakers with timeless classics like the Giya which is an impressive design both visually and sonically using natural curves and shapes to allow the speakers and drivers to perform at their optimal.
This year at the Munich show Laurence had his latest creation the Moya M1 speakers which were being demonstrated with an impressive line of Mola Mola electronics and this combination proved to be a huge success to the many of visitors and press alike that visited the room, this was the European launch and debut of this incredible new speaker and design from this leading industry professional.
The Moya M1 is a 5 way 13 driver speaker system which looks stunning and once you fire them up there 3000 watts of power handling delivers what can only be described as an ethereal experience unlike any other, the church organ music that they were playing sounded stunning in every sense of the word, organ music is so difficult to play on speakers as the lower octaves can prove to be troubling to a speaker design that simply cannot handle those sort of frequencies but not the Moya’s as you feel every note played as well as hear it, it manages to project one of the most powerful and naturally accurate experiences to hear that sort of music played by a speaker design.
Tannoy Autograph 12 Loudspeakers
Danny Cooklin with Tannoy Speakers

Danny had designed a totally new tweeter which was integrated into the legendary Tannoy dual concentric driver which can handle high spl levels matched by a beautifully crafted cabinet.
It proved to be a formidable speaker and system which was partnered with Prima Luna EVO 300 preamplifier and EVO 400 power amplifier, Linn Klimax streamer was used as the source and Atlas cables used to tie all the components together.
The synergy was superb and the Prima Luna proved to be an excellent choice of components to show off what this new speaker could do. It was one of the most natural and dynamic sounding systems for many of the visitors too, as it was the highlight for them.
The positivity from people visiting the rooms was excellent with so many commenting on how good the new Tannoy Autograph 12 Loudspeakers sounded. A gentleman from Ireland came up and mentioned that he had listened to all of the Tannoy range and this new model was his favourite, and there were many more with requests for music to be played on the system, it did not matter what music was played it sounded superb.
It’s clear from all the positive feedback from the show that the new Tannoy Autograph 12 Loudspeakers will be a massive hit for Tannoy and thanks to the professional know-how of Blast Loudspeakers who have helped a legendary company such as Tannoy reimagine the Autograph and blast it into the 21st century.
